Thanks for purchasing our splitter! You’ll find we worked very hard to find a design that compliments your car, functions and requires minimal modification to the car itself while providing MORE support for the bumper as opposed to putting more stress on it as do other designs.

To get started, first raise the car into the air, high enough to get a drill under it, via a lift or jack stands. Then simply remove the factory air diffuser that is held in by plastic screws and nuts. At this time also remove the 2 10mm bolts in the center of the bumper (in the recessed area).

Next, have a friend hold the splitter in place (textured side up) while you mount it on the back side using the 1” M6 Bolts. Put a washer on each bolt, place the bolt through the splitter, through the bumper and then put a washer on the top side and finger tighten with a supplied nut.

Once in place, take the two 1.5” M6 bolts, add a washer to each, place through the two center holes, add the metal spacers (between the splitter and the bumper) and finger tighten the bolts into place. (Note: The metal spacers are sent bare metal, just like we do for Trans-Am models, because customers have liked the look, similar to splitter support rods. However, feel free to paint body color, paint them black to blend in, whatever you desire.)

Now you’re ready to mount the diffuser. The diffuser will line up with the frame rails. First mount it using its middles holes and the M6 bolts on the back of the splitter that it lines up with. Next you’ll see there are already two holes at the front of the splitter to line the diffuser up with. Use the allen head chromed bolts, nuts and washer supplied .

Finally, where the back holes of the diffuser line up with the frame rail, drill a pilot hole into the frame rail (should already be a recession there on most cars), feed the provided self tapping screw threw the diffuser hole and install white nylon spacer at this time (the spacer levels the splitter with the ground, if you tighter the diffuser to the rail itself it will make it angle down) and screw in the self tapping screw.

OPTIONAL: There are also two extra NON-FACTORY hole options on the splitter (in front of the back line of bolt holes, one on each side). We provided two extra M6 bolts, washers, etc… so that if you’d like to add one more mounting point to each side you may. This is not necessary as we tested the splitter WITHOUT these mounts up to 145mph with no problems but felt they would be a good idea for cars going faster than that or dedicated racers.

Now, go back over your work and properly tighten all bolts and nuts and you are done! Lower the car and enjoy, thanks again  !
