Now, for this to work it obviously has to be connected to the engine. If you bought our tubing kit, then BEFORE the below steps (after removing your stock air intake) you install the first 90* coupler on the throttle body POINTING TOWARDS THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE CAR, then connect it to your MAF sensor.

Next you use the other supplied 90* coupler to connect the MAF to the air box. Tighten it all up first THEN slip the air box on. Really very simple…

NOTE: The couplers ARE LONGER THAN NEEDED. We have found out everyone’s car is slightly different so we send them uncut. It is very easy to cut them, just tape a line of where you need to cut it then using a razor blade trim off the excess.

Finally, DO NOT FORGET TO INSTALL YOUR IAT SENSOR. You’ll notice there is a provision on the bottom of our air box to use the stock rubber grommet and plug in your IAT sensor (NO EXTENDING OF WIRES NEEDED), just don’t forget it !

On to the air box…

1) Bolt the provided bracket to your intake via the two corresponding intake bolts (you’ll notice the intended bolts actually have threaded studs coming up off of them, you could also just slip the bracket over the studs and use two nuts to secure it).

2) Bolt the shaker box to the brackets using the bolts provided.

3) Drop in your air filter (not provided, the filter size is what comes stock on 1998-2002 LS1 F-Bodies) and then place the provided trim plate on top of it (we designed it around a K&N filter, some filters are thicker and will cause the trim plate to bow, it will NOT effect sealing, just aesthetics and you can add washers to level it out if you like). Bolt the trim plate down using the provided bolts and you are done! (If you have a shaker scoop as well you bolt it on using the trim plate bolts so the bolts would go through scoop, through plate and fasten into our shaker box.)

We also sell a radiator cover for those who would like to clean up the engine bay and remove the stock cover and air lid setup. If you also purchased this, install is straight forward. Unbolt the old and bolt on the new!

All in all it should take 20min. if you’re quick, 25min. if buddies are over and more talking gets done than work, lol!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR PURCHASE !
